I can’t see why either the US or Australia
should wander around the ruins of the Middle East
where military might and a fear-ridden, cold war
mentality has been exercised for no truthful
or declared purpose for so many years.
We would be better advised to look to our nearest
neighbour, NZ for ways to realign our moral compass
and seek to heal some of the deep, dark holes
in our peculiar history and set our own course.
We desperately need a bold and honest plan;
one that’s owing to our first peoples and
deals with the evident threats to our planet today.
