Apollo Bay urgently needs to resolve the growing confusion
over Great Ocean Road traffic conflicting with a soldier’s memorial
on Nelson Street.
At the public consultation by Regional Roads VIC
on 12 February, four solutions were offered,
the preferred option being the big roundabout.
As Ted Stuckey noted in the Apollo Bay News 14 February
buses are likely to bank up at a roundabout
and disrupt traffic flowing through the town.
Also, street power poles would have to be removed.
I think I agree now with the option noted by Stephanie
at the recent Otway Forum. Only one entrance
to Nelson Street would be cheaper and more useful.
