My fleeting visit to capital city Caracus in 2012<\/p>\n\n\n\n
revealed the amazing Bolivarian revolution<\/p>\n\n\n\n
–named after a Spanish poet –that provided <\/p>\n\n\n\n
efficient housing and public transport systems <\/p>\n\n\n\n
and many other socially relevant innovations<\/p>\n\n\n\n
in that crowded and noisy modern community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Exquisitely polite people, extremely rich or poor,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
where bashing saucepans or tapping kitchen cutlery<\/p>\n\n\n\n
was their way of registering community concerns,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
not to mention blowing those infernal loud horns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What a contrast to our fearful western culture,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
where refugees are treated with utter contempt<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and border control is more defended than justice<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and old people are left to rot in nursing homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Venezuelans did not elect WEALTHY Juan Guaido<\/p>\n\n\n\n
he just declared himself the interim president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The essence of community is not individualism and <\/p>\n\n\n\n
gathering of wealth, greed & manic focus on economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The west has no business interfering here, if we<\/p>\n\n\n\n
believe in the principles of democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Perhaps we just trumping up another cold war <\/p>\n\n\n\n
