{"id":236,"date":"2019-05-20T14:03:53","date_gmt":"2019-05-20T03:03:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.otways.com\/?p=236"},"modified":"2019-05-20T14:03:53","modified_gmt":"2019-05-20T03:03:53","slug":"oil-and-rudeness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.otways.com\/?p=236","title":{"rendered":"Oil and Rudeness"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The last meeting of the Colac Otway Shire council<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">held in Apollo Bay was frightful and embarrassing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mayor failed to call to order cheeky children&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">or a rude adult from Kennett River who called out<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">a most inappropriate comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The unusual excitement was over a carefully prepared<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">petition about potential oil spills in the Australian Bight<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">caused by either exploration or drilling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In spite of an excellent speech by Cr Stephen Hart&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the council failed to pass a motion to send any concern<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">to the decision-making bodies on our behalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Time to secede.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The last meeting of the Colac Otway Shire council held in Apollo Bay was frightful and embarrassing.
